About Us

The UCLA – San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Training Program trains future clinicians and academics in the growing field of Addiction Psychiatry with training sites throughout Los Angeles County. Fellows will gain addiction expertise in a wide range of patient populations including consult and liaison, adolescent and child, Veteran’s health, women’s health, community psychiatry, dual diagnosis, and opiate treatment centers. This experience is unique in that fellows will train at multiple locations and health care systems including  Veteran’s Administration Health Care – Greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Fellows will work closely with leaders in the field of Addiction Psychiatry and will be allotted time for scholarly work. Didactics and individual supervision are provided weekly. Upon completion fellows will be well prepared for their boards and be highly sought after to work in the growing field of Addiction Psychiatry.
