Entertainment, recreational and cultural advantages are both legion and legend.  Our Employee Association offers discounted tickets to Dodger games, Clipper games, theaters, museums, Disneyland, studio tours, cruises, ski weekends, Las Vegas weekends, and countless other activities.  It is estimated that over fifty dialects are spoken in L.A. County.  The area is multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-denominational, ever changing, and exciting.  In addition, the area boasts some of the most progressive public and private educational facilities in the country.

Weather is subtropical, with a daily average temperature of seventy-three degrees.  Sunny Los Angeles is strategically situated within a short drive of many vacation spots.  Just an hour south are the resort communities of Newport Beach and Laguna, with San Diego just one more hour down the freeway.  Mexico is just south of San Diego.  Beautiful Pacific beaches are within thirty minutes of the hospital to the west.  To the east are the desert resorts and communities, including Palm Springs.

Mountains, including Big Bear and Mammoth ski resorts, are within a short drive; and Santa Barbara, a popular weekend vacation town, is just sixty minutes north.
