Child Psychiatry

The six month Child Psychiatry rotation is divided into two 3 month blocks at two different locations on a half-time basis:

UCLA/Neuropsychiatric Institute:

Residents perform complete evaluations and treat one to two inpatient children or adolescents at any one time.  During this rotation, the resident participates in weekly seminars on child development, child psychopathology, diagnosis, and treatment.

Cedars Sinai Child & Adolescent Rotation:

The rotation is designed to complement the NPI rotation.  Residents work closely with the faculty and fellows in this setting.  They evaluate and follow two to four outpatient children/adolescents and also participate in a number of seminars and a weekly case conference series.
