The medicine inpatient service is at Olive View Medical Center. This is were the resident develops his/her diagnostic and treatment acumen.  Their case assignment is reviewed to assure a proper diagnostic exposure and breadth of experience.  Ward supervision provides the structure for ongoing patient care as the resident gradually gains the clinical skills and knowledge to handle increasing patient care responsibility and a leadership role in a multidisciplinary environment.
